Family van Dijk

We're a busy, easy-going family in the heart of Amsterdam — Mark designs buildings, Sanne works long but flexible shifts at the children's hospital, and our two kids (3 and 6) keep the house loud and happy. We're looking for a patient, hands-on au pair who genuinely enjoys toddlers and school-run chaos in equal measure, and who won't mind the occasional early morning when Sanne is on call. Our home is a narrow canal house with a small roof terrace, a bike for every family member, and a fridge that's always stocked for pancake emergencies.

Most days start with breakfast together before the school run — our six-year-old cycles with a parent, and our three-year-old goes to the crèche around the corner. Afternoons are yours to fill with playground trips, swimming lessons, or simply pottering around the neighbourhood. We eat dinner as a family whenever Sanne's shift allows, and we'd love an au pair who's curious about Dutch life, happy on two wheels, and ready to become a genuine part of our little household.
