We're a small, creative family of three in Munich — Jonas builds software for a mobility start-up, Lea illustrates children's books from her home studio, and our son Theo (4) is obsessed with dinosaurs and anything that lets him climb higher than he should. We're after a warm, playful au pair who's happy to get down on the floor and build entire dinosaur worlds out of cushions, and who can also handle a rainy-day museum trip without breaking a sweat.
Our days are fairly relaxed: kindergarten drop-off in the morning, pick-up early afternoon, then park time, art projects at the kitchen table, or a walk along the Isar river. Lea works from home most days, so you'll never feel isolated — we'd love for you to feel like a genuine part of our little creative household, not just childcare on the side.
Family Unique Experience
Munich gives you the best of both worlds — a lively, walkable city with English widely spoken, and the Alps less than an hour away for weekend hikes or, come winter, your first ski lesson. We often take Theo up to the lakes south of the city, and we'd happily bring you along. Munich's beer gardens, English Garden, and easy train links to Salzburg and Innsbruck make weekends here hard to beat.
