We're a tech-industry family — Rens builds hardware for a major electronics company, Lieke leads HR for a similar-sized firm, and our two kids (6 and 10) are already better with a tablet than either of us. We're looking for an au pair who can encourage a healthy balance of screen time and outdoor play, and who's comfortable with two very different school-age routines.
Our neighbourhood is quiet and green despite the city's tech-hub reputation, with a park at the end of the road. Afternoons mean homework, sports club, or just free play outside, and dinner together is a fixed part of our day whenever work allows. We're a warm, structured household that values curiosity and independence in equal measure.
Family Unique Experience
Eindhoven is one of Europe's most innovative small cities, but it's also unexpectedly green, with parks and cycling routes throughout. It's close to the Belgian border, so Antwerp and Brussels are both easy day trips, and the city's famous light festival in autumn is worth staying around for.
