We're a playful pair — Max designs toys for a well-known German toy company (our house is basically a prototype showroom), Hannah teaches kindergarten, and our son Felix (3) is, unsurprisingly, extremely well supplied with things to play with. We're looking for an imaginative, energetic au pair who's happy building elaborate pretend worlds and doesn't mind a living room that occasionally looks like a toy warehouse.
Our home is close to Nuremberg's medieval old town, and Felix's crèche is a short walk away. Afternoons usually mean the castle grounds, a playground, or testing whatever prototype Max brought home that week. We eat together most evenings and love watching Felix's imagination take off with a new playmate around.
Family Unique Experience
Nuremberg's old town is one of Germany's most atmospheric, especially in December when the famous Christkindlesmarkt takes over the main square. Munich and Frankfurt are both under two hours away, and the surrounding Franconia region is full of castle towns worth a day trip.
