We're first-time parents adjusting to life with our daughter Mila, who just turned one and has recently discovered the joy of pulling herself up on absolutely everything. Klara plays cello with the local orchestra and rehearses several evenings a week; Felix manages a small family-run hotel with long but flexible hours. We need a gentle, attentive au pair who's confident with babies and toddlers and comfortable taking the evening shift a few times a week.
Our village sits just outside Salzburg, surrounded by farmland and mountains, in a big old house with more garden than we know what to do with. Days are unhurried — morning walks in the pram, naps, baby-led play, and trips into the city for groceries or a coffee. We'd love someone who's happy with a quieter pace of life and excited to watch a baby grow into a toddler over the year.
Family Unique Experience
You'll wake up to mountain views every morning and be twenty minutes from Salzburg's old town, with its music festivals, riverside walks, and Christmas markets in winter. The wider region opens up easily too — Munich, the Salzkammergut lakes, and the Alps are all within reach for day trips, and Felix can usually sort a good rate at partner hotels if you fancy a weekend away.
